Through his unwavering commitment, Sensei David continues to inspire and guide his students on their own journeys of growth, both in martial arts and in life.
Kyokushin Karate has been a significant part of my life since I began practicing at the age of 15 in 1998. Over the years, my dedication and hard work in this martial art led me to remarkable achievements. By 2002, my efforts culminated in winning first place at the National Championship, which opened the doors for me to join the National Kyokushin Karate Team.
This experience fueled my passion further, and in 2008, I proudly claimed first place in the 65 kg category. My journey continued as I moved to Canada in 2010, where I continued to train and compete. In 2018, I not only won 1st place in the Men’s Open 166 lb Knockdown category in Alberta, but I was also honored with the cup for Best Technical Fighter.
That same year, I also achieved 3rd place at the Calgary Cup, showcasing my versatility and skill.
In 2019, my winning streak continued, as I once again claimed 1st place in the Knockdown Men’s Open 166 lb category. To top it off, I received another cup for Best Technical Fighter. Reflecting on my journey, karate has been more than a sport; it has been a source of discipline, resilience, and camaraderie.
As I continue to train and compete, I look forward to the future, fueled by the lessons and experiences that Shinkyokushinkai karate has bestowed upon me.
